South Tampa is nestled immediately south of Interstate 275, minutes from the Tampa International Airport. Hillsborough Bay is located to the east, while Old Tampa Bay is on the neighborhood's west side.

South Tampa is the perfect community for individuals who enjoy routinely getting out in nature. With ample parks to visit — several of which are located along the bay — residents can easily soak in the area’s sunny and warm weather.

Located on the far southern side of the neighborhood is Picnic Island Park. Nestled on the shore of Old Tampa Bay, this incredibly scenic park boasts a disc golf course, beach dog park, boat launch, and more. On the opposite side of town, delight in even more waterfront views at Ballast Point Park. This city park features amenities such as a playground and a cafe. It also shares the same space as the Tampa Yacht & Country Club.

Other notable places include Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club, South Tampa Family YMCA, and Gadsden Park.
